Cornershop and Eden Gray met through a mutual friend in 2019, just as Eden was beginning to pursue music more seriously. She paused to focus on her work in law & technology ethics while Cornershop headed to France to finish off their England Is A Garden album.

After the pandemic, they reunited in 2025 to record Eden Gray’s “Amsterdam via Rotterdam”— a reflective, uplifting song for all seasons blending Eden Gray’s poignant lyricism with Cornershop’s signature upbeat welterweight music bounce. Amsterdam via Rotterdam is an ode to youthful spirit, memories, and the beauty of small regrets.

Inspired by Eden’s grandmother, the video uses generative AI to animate and reimagine 50+ vintage family photos. It features a fictional app that lets users relive and reshape their past—at a cost. The future is here, and you can dance to it.
